Ivan Obert, teacher at South Middle School in Joplin, won the 2012 Webber Teacher of the Year award, which, beginning in 2012, honors outstanding teachers who have participated in NHD for 5 or fewer years.
Missouri's winners for the 2012 Patricia Behring Teacher Awards, which honor outstanding NHD teachers, are Terry Trullinger of Hannibal Middle School in Hannibal for the junior-level award and Janet Baldwin of Pattonville High School in Maryland Heights for the senior-level award! They also had their names in nomination for the national Patricia Behring Teacher Award.
