NHDMO Volunteers

National History Day in Missouri (NHDMO) volunteers provide support for both our past and our future. They help preserve our history by investing in the young people that are our future. Volunteers are needed in several capacities, both at the contest and at other times during the year, including bulk mailings and packet creation.

For the state contest on April 21, 2012, NHDMO needs volunteers to:

  • Guard doors during judging interviews (plus you get to see the documentaries and performances);
  • Guard exhibit area (closed to public during interviews);
  • Greet and give directions;
  • Set up tables (on April 20);
  • Set up or take down outdoor signs;
  • Help with registration; and
  • Sell/distribute t-shirts and other NHDMO merchandise.

Many more volunteers are needed as judges.  For more information about judging, please see the judge information page.
